hi, folks!
I have just recabled my Denon 1001(markl mod as well).
i used 5 meters of argon 5005. minijack to rca cable (Argon Audio : Audio Interconnects: 5005 Cable)
removed the rca plugs.
the first problem was that it was just 2 wires + ground in the cable.
so i just cutted the cable in half and used the 2 wires that wasn't connected to the jack as ground. solded them to the jack, and connected all wires to the cans.
the wiring is right according to the multimeter.
the soldering is good according to the kick-ass janitor at my work
the sound wasn't that much better imo....
they sounds right on my ipod classic 160gb 2009(apple lossless)
but on my laptop, i only have sound on the left ear.gif)
and on my friend's iphone 3g the sound is sick weak (like broken standard ipod plugs)
so, have i done something wrong?
is it a crappy cable? (85$
)
it does not matter wich ground wire that goes to left/right?
thanks!! (and sorry for my crappy norwegian-english
)

You have it wired correctly. It is possible as SUP suggested that the jack is not seating completelyyou should feel it engage three tabs as you insert it. I would then double check/reflow solder joints. Best of luck.
