iBasso P3+ Hiss?

Thread Starter
My current setup is an ipod classic with ibasso p3+ amp and a pair of ultrasone pro 900 headphones. The amp however gives off noticeable hiss in the right ear of the headphones at whatever volume, which disappears when it is plugged into the mains. Is there are way to get rid of the hiss as it is extremely annoying.
Thanks.

just in case, you tried changing the batteries?

have you tried swaping the L/R opamp? maybe you´ve got one (a defect one) in your amp that doesn´t like low voltage.

as i stated mine is hiss "free" and i don´t think IBasso would get this great reputation if it´s prerequisite that they have one channel hissing as hell ... but they are by design "toy-around-opamp-rolling" amps and i think it could be possible that alot of people screw up something by testing things ... static charge is something to consider for example.

My P3+ hissed a lot till I changed the OPAMPs for iem use. Now it is very quiet (nearly silent) and great sounding for iems. Buff are 634 BB and LR is 2111.

FWIW, the OPA627 is operating right on the lower end of the voltage range in the P3+. I would suggest using a fresh set of quality AAA alkaline cells and see if the hiss disappears. If that doesn't help, try an OPA1612 or TLE2142. They both exhibit little, if any, hiss and can comfortably work at the P3+ supply voltage.
