Anyone want to take a stab at what this is?

My friend gave me nine of these, and he said he doesn't know what they are.
He says he ordered 555 timers and this is what he got.

(sorry about the size)

Well, it is a Texas Instruments part, but their catalog has nothing that resembles it. There are references to the TL555i on the web, but no datasheet.

Ah, so that's simply a TL081 in a tiny package?

No, it's a 555 in a SMT package.
