Early release for time served here. Worked at a Wendy's for about six glorious, greasy months.

I come pretty close to saying "enjoy your movie" to cashiers in stores occasionally. I very nearly did it once when receiving a ticket at another theater. I can also re-arrange letters on a sign to spell other things pretty well. I find myself shocked at how others wouldn't think of an electric leaf blower as a useful cleaning tool.

I also work in Stage Lighting/Live sound.

One of the habits I've acquired is starting most volume controls at -∞ which may well save my ears one day. I also enter most auditoriums/theaters/concert halls looking for speakers/lighting/acoustic modifications.
Couldn't help but smile. Thanks for this thread OP.

LOL. It's not a paying job, but I did volunteer and flex-study credits in the electrical shop for the School of Drama during my first two years of college. Even my theater friends find it amusing that I have a tendency to gaze up at the lighting positions and trying to figure out the wiring and lighting while I'm waiting for a show to start.

I remember the rushes when I worked at a movie theater 20 years ago. It would either be insanely busy or completely dead. It was fun, we got to see free movies and the co-workers were great.

These days, it's not terribly different. 9-5 has the usual stuff, but they often keep me here to midnight or 1AM. A few partners are night owls (not a criticism, I am, too, but not when I have to wake up at 7AM every day) and don't start rolling on their projects until 9 or 10 at night. It's not easy to keep up.

But in this market, it's good to have a job.
