Samsung YP-R1 poor battery life

I fully charged my Samsung YP-R1 last night but about 5 minutes after listening to music the percentage on the battery has dropped from 100% to 93% then this morning when I switched my player on the percentage has fallen to 84%.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I think this is a well known trait for the Samsung YP-R1.

Ye, true. Had the same problem with the YP-R1, aswell with the YP-K5.
Realy annoying but there isnt rly that much you can do about it, apart from just to live with it.

I believe several Samsung products are know for having this problem.

Setting the brightness to 0 greatly improves battery life as well as using playlists. The p2 was the last good samsung player as far as battery is concerned. DNSE 3.0 sounds great but samsung forgot to give these more powerful players better battery.

On the korean samsung website you can found the new firmware R1 V3.04.
I hope this is able to improve the battery life...

Testing Y-R1 vol 15 without EQ it seems there is a little improvement. But the problem is not solved...
