Jazz fans, check this out! - Page 2

Give Art Pepper a try. His music is even more amazing (and sad in a way) given that his musical output is between stints in prison and while he was trying to come to terms with his heroin addiction.

I randomly stumbles upon this podcast called Jazz Insights on iTunes. If you are a jazz fan you owe it to yourself to check this out. It is all done by Dr. Gordon Vernick, I had never heard of him but he is the Associate Professor of Music at Georgia State University. But anyways check it out. I mainly consists of the history of jazz. There are also certain episodes about specific artists. Just thought I would share. Let me know what you think.

Here is a link.

cheers!
How are they with more aggressive rock, like Tool, and Metalica?

That just shows that it can happen to anyone.

And if you could, which do you prefer as an all around can, your HD650, K701, or SR325? Those are the three I am looking at for my next purchase, and I am trying to get an idea. I am hoping I can go to Canfest II so I can try them all out.

Between those three it would have to be the HD650s. However.... Over the weekend I finally made a set of wood cups for my SR60is. They also got a re-cable (canare quad) and damping via some Parts Express "dynamat" on each driver's magnet. I turned the cups to RS1 dimensions. Wow do they sound good! Crisp bass, excellent stating, a bit recessed however.

Next up are wood cups for my SR125is. If those work out I'll likely do my 325s and leave the 325is as my "control" Grados. Must. Stop. Buying. 'phones.
