Hoping for some recommendations on a player

I recently gave my wife my ipod touch 2nd gen because she really likes the apps and extra stuff you can get on the app store and itunes on the go.

So I was looking into the Sansa line of products and had my eye on the Fuze but I read it has poor video support and I wasn't impressed with the UI but I did like the iea of an expansion slot. I don't watch full movies but I do watch video podcasts and the like. Considering going with the clip because it's just a straightaway player that seems to have high quality and I can use another device for my videos. Another plus is they play FLAC.

I do a bit of travel so portability and size are an issue but not huge. Although I had my eye on Sansa products I'm not stuck on them, but I'd prefer to stay away from the iPods and Zunes. If I'm going for another type of iPod I'd just get another touch.

Hoping for:
-FLAC support
-Video playback (but not a huge issue, would be a plus)
-Easy to transfer files
-At last 16g
-Plenty of accessories like skins and cases so when I travel it won't be damaged in my laptop bag, pocket, ect.

Any input would be greatly appreciated

SAMSUNG P3~

I have a sansa Fuze 8GB plus 8GB SD card and it's pretty good as a portable music player.
- Video sucks.
+ There is not much to the UI it's pretty basic and non-complicated. I use the folder view and I personally feel browsing through folders is pretty straight forward than the album/artist browsing in iPods.
+ excellent battery life.
+ sounds pretty good with FLAC and 320 bitrate mp3s.
+ sturdy/stable. I use it mostly for gym and it has been sturdy through all the rough handling.

good luck.

Would you say it's better to go with a Fuze than Clip just for the memory card slot?

(In corresponding order)
Check
Check
Check, Plus a SDHC expansion slot (48 gig total at one time)

I'm going to recommend a Cowon D2+. I recently looked into buying myself a new DAP with a very similar criteria. After far to many days reading about options and trying to finalize my thoughts I ended up with the D2+.
I'm very happy with it, no real downfalls for me... so far.

Or you can go with a Clip+ that has the slot

And yes, I believe the slot is more than worth the price difference.

plenty of accessories... its hard to fullfill this criteria

you can have many choices for accessories if you live in Korea and use Samsung P3 or Cowon

I would recommend the Fuze because of the slot, video and ability to use an LOD.

I was leaning towards a Clip+ but a friend of mine has one and after a few minutes of playing with it the small screen started to annoy me. Seems so restricted or maybe it's just because I'm used to larger touch screens with a lot of real estate.

Look at the links I've provided, then see if there's something that tickles your fancy.

If you are indecisive between Clip+ and Fuze, get the Fuze because of the click wheel. I like it because it is intuitive.

there's also the S:Flo2 but it doesn't have the best battery life.
