Meh I say look for the best SQ then looks later ALTHOUGH I love the look of my T51 LoD RSA Tomahawk
But I went and bought some velcro strips to hold them together. I constantly pick it up to admire everything
But sound comes first for me and IMO it sounds amazing.

Well honestly for me sound doesn't come first anymore - I have a Rockboxed iPod and man, it sounds great - I NEVER would have thought I would have purchased a classic (and i've had them all, from rockboxed ipod, to trekstor vibez, to even a Pacemaker - FLAC was my thing) but after using all of these devices - yeah, even zunes and cowons, etc. sony. i've had many - i was thinking of what to purchase next - after much thought i went with the silver ipod classic. and guess what? i like it better than my rockboxed ipod and my pacemaker...the sound is SLIGHTLY less than the others but the controls and setup are much better and easier and LOOK better.
The sound comparison from an RSA to a CORDA to any other amp is very small, i've heard most of them...so unless you really want 100 percent sound, well you know....get something that looks good because we're comparing apples to apples when it boils down to it.

hey young spade -gotta pic of your portable rig?

I have both the iqube and rx... I must confess that im not using the iqube anymore. The classic and Rx were born for each other. Its the best portable I have heard/tried sitting at the very top of the pack.

can anyone recognize this amp? It looks like a RSA but not sure which one?
Found the pic on flickr...the rollover quesion is "what amp is this?" funny enough.

The arrow is good, all the amps listed will do fine, but the Ibasso T3 is the bang for buck
albeit smaller.....I love RSA amps, but the Shadow I would pass on for the Tomahawk.

but wouldnt the t3 be a littttle too small for the classic?

Yes.. it's too small.still a great little amp, the arrow is the next bang for buck.IMHO
And a better match size wise.......

I didn't care much for the Rx, but many people love it, and the TTVJ slim by my brief audition sounded great, and it's the perfect size for the ipod. All this talk about compromising sound to get looks/size....you don't have to!

I also own a 160GB Classic, and I'm looking at the usual contenders: TTVJ Slim, Pico Slim & Headstage Arrow. The Arrow looks tempting, especially since it's $100-$150USD less than either of the Slims...BUT, it's something like a 3-5 week delay for shipping from Germany. The Pico Slim seems like it's taking forever to start shipping. I dunno, but the TTVJ is looking more attractive as I think about it.

really? i thought the iQube is the best sounding portable amp i've ever heard. where did you get the rx? i might try to audition them since i'm itching to get an iQube but it is a bit too expensive.
