IC: los angeles mini-meet near UCLA - Page 7

I have the Triple-fi 10s with the Null Audio Enyo Custom cable (with the Viablue connector) and had owned the Super-fis before and these definitely sound tighter on the bass, more detailed and extended on the highs but at a cost ($350).

But I also have the Brainwavz M2 IEM Earphones that I got on mp4nation.net and I use these at the beach and in the gym instead of the triple-fis and they are very, very good sounding IEMs. IMO they are more enjoyable than the super-fis and just a couple notches below stock triple-fis. they don't extend up into the highs nearly as clearly and effortlessly as the triple-fis but the bass has more impact and a bit of a booast in the low bass area which makes rock music more fun. They are around $50 on mp4nation.net and well worth the cost.

offtopic but... anyone around  LA-OC area with a CK2III /  multiple IEMs (dba02, e-q7, ps 200, turbines, etc)?

Want to audition some stuff, would be willing to bring what I have--which isn't much these days.

----

Also, if there's a meet, I'd be down to bring sonic frontiers transdac, m3 with steps, audio technica ad2000.  should also be able to bring some entry level closed cans (which aren't mine)  equation audio rp21, m-audio q40

Hi, I am relatively new to head-fi...I've never been to any meeting...but I am pretty interested to attend one in LA/OC area...I assume that more people will be available on Sat. so I made a google spreadsheet with Saturdays from 9/25 - 11/13. whoever's available can click the link below and type in your name and dates (Y/N), then we'll choose a date with more available people.

Hopefully we can start from there, and Someone will have to be in charge of the location though.

filled out form, and thank you idorun for posting the spreadsheet.

im free every weekend most likely, so i dont think filling out the form will help. but i can bring the following:

Headphones:

ath-es7 with 80+ hours of burn-in. (would like to hear the ath-m50 if anyone has)

dt770 pro 80 with a lot of burn-in

the dbi pro-700

super-fi 5 EB (dont like these much)

AMPS:

CMOYBB

ALO Rx

Will also have home made cables if anyone is looking for anything. Will discount for people at the meet. Just ordered silver wire and quadtek and i have a limited supply of silver/silver plated combo, military-grade, 2-conductor, shielded wire from work which sounds AMAZING. i can only use what i have on hand and the scrap they are throwing out. this stuff is low AWG and is way more detailed in the mids and highs than pure copper, with the bass extension which people attribute to copper. this is just from experience, not saying that copper or silver is better, but the cable is really nice haha

I might be able to make a 10/16 meet since I'll be back in LA for a couple of birthdays. I could haul an amp, CDP and some headphones out there. I'll check back to see what date works for everyone.

I'm also up for 10/16 as a good date for a meet!  A few days after I get back from my honeymoon :D
