Nice review. I would get the Hi Fi man but I am already satisfied with my iRiver ihp 140 with optical output>Musical fidelity V DAC>Head direct EF 1 tube amp.
Of course, the advantage with the hi fi man is that it is more portable than my iRiver rig.
I still need to hear one myself to ascertain if hiss is okay or not. I've heard many sources which are 'black silent' only to be annoyed by their hiss to the point that I sold my earphones!
I am very sensitive to hiss, but not as much as Mido!
