Can I use Mogami Neglex W2549 cable to make a mini-mini cable?

Hi, been wanting to make a mini-mini cable for some time and bought a couple feet of this mogami cable, since i saw in a thread that it was being compared to starquad, so being used for the same purposes.

I've been reading the "how to make you own IC" thread, but now noticed that i need at least 3 conductors, whereas the Neglex cable has just 2.

Did i get the wrong cable?

Thanks in advance.

Mini to Mini requires 3 poles, the Mogami Neglex W2549 only offers 2 wires. So you won't be able to make a Mini-to-mini by using that cable.

You should use the 2534 instead.

if your only making a short mini to mini cable just use the shield as the ground and the inner 2 wires as the signal.
