A friend of mine lent me this album the other day and I went out and got it myself the same day... I loved it!


Has anyone else gotten into this yet?

If so and you can recommend similar I'd love to hear your recommendations

I have had if for a while now. I love this album. As for as similar, maybe try The Postal Service.

Give Up is honestly one of my favourite albums of all time! I listen to it at least once a week

Both of these albums have fantastic vocals which is probably half of why I love them... in fact it was partly the Postal Service's fault I started upgrading my portable audio gear!

Try 'The Notwist', whom I heard about first here at head-fi. Their album (Neon Golden), reminds me of XX and Postal Service.

The XX had a huge hype train accompanying them, judging from the tone of Pitchfork's review. They're still pretty good though. I didn't really pick up any standout tracks from the album besides VCR, but it's a solid album that got some play time, although I haven't touched it in a while. It can sometimes be a bit boring for me, depending on my mood.

One of the standouts from last year for me - Crystalised and Islands are great tracks.

i really liked infinity. Great album overall though. It wore on me faster than I would have liked. I got pretty over it after only 3-4 weeks.

Man, you guys finally found this album. Can't wait to see them in April. The vocals are awesome on headphones. This was my reference CD in the "Meet in the Middle" in Centralia. Basic Space was the reference tune demo'ing amps. Good stuff.

Check them out... Those are the GEMS of 2010 till that day

You like The XX? You might want to check out Beach House - Teen Dream.

The XX's biggest influence is Young Marble Giants. I highly reccomend this album:
