Need some of advice.....

Newb (me) still getting the hang of this portable music thing needs some advice. I ripped my whole CD collection in Apple Lossless (using iTunes of course! Sorry.) I made AAC (320 VBR) copies of everything and use the smaller files to sync with my iPhone 3G 8GB. Now I'm getting a Clip+ to use while exercising and discovered that the Clip doesn't support the Apple formats. Obviously, I don't want to have a whole other set of files only for the Clip.

Should I just kill all my AAC's and make copies of my Apple Lossless files in a compressed the format that's supported by both of my devices? If so, what format do you suggest?

x2, but if you're short on space, 192kbps is often recommended as the best setting because of diminishing returns.

At least 320kbs if you want to save space.
FLAC for now and future use would be IMO.

I have my library filled with 320 or FLAC files; only using FLAC from now on though.
