Well I think I'm the only one who's suggesting hiding the MD's ... soozieq has the Coppers, but feels similarly about the bling factor of those.

If it makes any difference, the Null Audio cable I have on my Triple.Fi's took them from being good but flawed enough that I wouldn't buy them to my favorite IEM I've owned. Good enough that I think for the first time since I joined I actually didn't log in on a daily basis because I've been content with my gear.

While I don't think I'd characterize the change as huge it did all the right things for me mainly balancing the mids and treble with bass so it doesn't feel like there are any major peaks or valleys across the spectrum, just a nice balance sound.

I know you liked the Triple.Fi's in the past so if you're having trouble finding a BA IEM to go with a dynamic set it might be something for you to look into. I Won't derail this thread further but feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Chris, man it's true, the Coppers on sale on Laptops, Desktop Computers, Monitors, Printers & PC Accessories | Dell for $175. I would definitely jump on that deal for those who have the funds. I paid $250 and I'm not disappointed at that price, but $175 for Coppers is outstanding!!! I was hoping I would find the Miles at that price range but no such luck :-( .... lol

That bites, the Canadian store doesn't have them, at that price I definitely would be giving them a whirl.

Hi everyone,

Just got my set of MD's yesterday, and have been listening to them non stop. One thing I noticed, and I've PM'ed Search already about, is the severe microphonics that I've been experiencing. Does anyone else have this problem? It seems like even when I'm just walking or moving a little, I can hear some impedance.

I have found that wearing them over the ear helps tremendously. Can MD owners speak on this? Do you prefer them worn around ear or straight down?

Hahaha I was tempted too, but the comparisons I've heard make me think I'd prefer the MDs anyway.

@cn11 Which amp do you prefer with your MDs, the Rx or the Arrow?

Sorry buddy. I want the Miles and can't even afford them right now, so I understand... Can't wait for comparisons. You really couldn't pass on that price though... If I find Miles that low, I'm borrowing money!! lol

Cool... I think based on what you told me about the Miles that you will like the Coppers. I think I'm quite a bit high on the Coppers more than search is. They are reference like quality to me with bass. The other thing you and I discussed should go out next week too. Enjoy.

Sweet! Thanks ericp10 for posting this right on time. And to think I was just about to call J and R and negotiate a price (we are talking within minutes!). $190 delivered. As for the MD's, these are probably too limited-specialty for Dell to carry. JandR will probably continue to be the best deal there unless these ultimately don't sell in the limited quantity produced. Monster might then unload them on some deal oriented retailers.
