Okay, question time. How in the heck did Monster make a dynamic driver IEM with such nice imaging, clarity, smoothness, and power, all wrapped up in one little gleaming (albeit a bit too gleaming) shell?

No, I didn't.

And the second time I had them I was waiting for Chris to get new cables for his and give me a rundown on them











But he didn't get them.

Ha ha, well that idea got squashed when I realized I like some of my other IEM's over them enough that spending the cash on cable upgrades wouldn't make any sense. I'm already going to have to do another equipment garage sale to make up for my new MD's and Arrow amp. But I think I have enough to get rid of to more than cover the new purchases. I will be getting Null cables for the IE8's though once/if they ever come out.

...and no, I feel no guilt. Not capable! Doubtful certainly!

What?! Not even a shred?

Hey, how are you hiding the MD's when you wear them in front of actual people?? I can put my hair over mine, but if I'm outside and there's a gust of wind, forget it. Still, I could always use extra fog lights

Well, unfortunately I can't hide mine! I just lower my head and cover my eyes with my hand when I walk past someone! Maybe I should cover them with little mini brown paper bags...

Woah, I honestly never put much thought into the looks of these things, do they really stand out that much???

Oh well....I'm use to getting funny looks when I wear full size headphones on the train, I should have no problem sporting big gold earbuds.

Yeah, the looks... just check out pictures! They're gold/black/red & blue bands/blue cables! It's like the 'designer' was on an acid trip or something. But you'll forgive the looks when you hear the darn things. Well, I hope you do.....

I bought them based on the reviews for sound quality. I only decided to get the MDs over the Coppers because they were a "limited edition" and I figured for another 20 bucks what the hell. Plus I love Jazz.

Their smooth nature really works for all genres, especially jazz. Happy Apple sounds amazing through them. I chose to go for them based on seeing the same info you did. I think regardless if they're really superior to the Coppers, you'll enjoy them on their sound merits alone. I know I do.
