Still waiting on my replacement. Monster sent me an email notifying me that they received my merchandise on March 22.
Haven't heard back since. Should I try calling, or does Monster usually take this long?

I waited nearly four months for a replacement pair of Turbine Coppers..
Depending on their stock, it can be immediate, or take forever.
Called up Monster and the customer assistant said that the Tributes were on backorder. I guess they're not replacing the Tributes with the Trumpets just yet.
I just sent in mine today, :( third time wasn't the charm for me, first 2 pairs from amazon the right channel died after a week of use.... Now the pair from monster's sale did the exact same thing ....... SO hopefully the back ordered tributes will be a new batch and lack this defect. I don't mind waiting my gr07's will keep me calm for a while but music like dubstep and drum and bass just sound so Right on the tributes lol
initially the guy I spoke to said they would be replacing them with trumpets because tributes were no longer being made. I'm just glad to have them back haha. 4 months sounds like an incredibly long time though.
I decided to part with my MDT's.
Will be selling my 2nd pair, which I have yet to receive yet, later when I receive it.
I suspect this is true; the "backorder" may just be them trying to source the replacements, rather than manufacturing another batch..
On your box, is everything in three different languages? If so, I'm guessing they are out of North American prints, and are sending us the remaining from the europe market.
They definitely are sourcing the rest of the euro market. Those of us on the original fire sale purchase had to wait the extra week or 2 to get ours shipped because they were waiting on shipments of the "international" version to come back to the US from warehouses overseas.
After the 2 week wait I was shipped the international version.

Just noticed that yea the outside is in three different languages. Oh well just glad to have them back :D
I bought them, shockingly for $90 at a Vision's store. There were only 4 in stock, and I remember lining up at 8am to guarantee myself a pair X) That was around 6 months ago, and I've lost all sound in both sides, contacted Monster and sent them for replacement.
With that, I have two questions:
1) If anyone's called in their lifetime warranty on the MDT's, did you get Tributes back, or the new Trumpets? I don't think I trust the new build/look of the Trumpets.. What are the odds I'd get a Trumpet replacement over the preferred Tributes?
2) Since I have a couple weeks to wait, I figured I'd go looking for some new tips to go with the replacement Tributes/Trumpets, but I'm reading that foam sucks here and that silicone sucks from other sites.. What brand/type of tips work best with the MDT's, coming from experience?
I read that a couple pages back too, seems like a decent option. Anyone else got an opinion?
Yes the Sony hybrids are perfect for the MDT's, super comfortable and good sound, they made me decide to keep them. I could not get a good fit with any of the tips that came with the MDT's.
ditto. They're much less fussy with the hybrids, and they dont screw with the sound as much
