That's a pretty good article. I don't have any experience with ultra-high-end cables. But I do know from my own experiments that wire DOES make a difference, in terms of material. That is to say, $20/foot silver wire will not really be better or different than $3/foot silver wire. But silver wire is definitely different than copper wire, and different gauges of any material sound different. The dielectric makes a difference too.

My only complaint (not to be an a-hole) is the guy could have used a spell checker.

To summarize: Just another guy who, after apparently trying (and selling) a huge number of boutique cables, offers his own opinions on what certain cable materials do, and who just happens to be planning on selling DIY cables in the future.

On another note, it's considered polite to at least put a link to the source material location, even if it's been quoted in full.

Yep. I really hate it when proponents of high-end cables just tell you that the reason you can't hear the difference is that your rig isn't good enough or your ears aren't golden enough.

Not trying to flame or get in an argument, but I've seen a lot of this. Was an interesting read, regardless.
