Opera 10.5 has arrived!

Check it out.

Already impressed with the snappiness of the browser. Nifty, yet unobtrusive GUI. Moar window space to complement my already minimalist browser window.

What next?
(Okay, maybe I'm not ready to know...)

Odd, no automatic updates yet. Hopefully updating manually won't mess with my Link settings. Thanks

Don't mean to be a pain, but does Opera have integrated spell check yet?

Edit: Should've checked features page, sorry.

Thanks for posting, might give it a go.

I went to Opera from Firefox but came back because there was no spell check. Did I forget to turn it on?

So did they do anything about ECMAScript execution performance?

Don't get me wrong - i was a loyal Opera user for years - since 5.1 - but i got sick of the way that they kept rewriting it from the ground up over and over without addressing the glaring performance issues.

Probably, Opera didn't use inline spell check until a few versions ago, it used GNU Aspell instead.

Opera 10.51 should be along RSN (the sooner the better).
Opera 10.5 for Windows has been having a bit of a potential security issue. Opera has a blog post about the potential exploit: The malformed Content-Length header Security Issue

They're claiming that DEP and ASLR are enough to prevent exploitation. But what level of DEP is enough? Is the software enforced DEP enough or does it need the hardware enforced DEP (supported CPUs) enabled? Opera doesn't say which.

Oh well. A good reminder to enable hardware enforced DEP if your CPU supports it and to also enable it in OptOut mode or AlwaysOn mode.

I'm confused by this statement - aspell does facilitate inline spell checking. It's what pidgin uses, for example.

Headed over to download, just to find out that 10.5 is not out yet! For Mac OS X that is...
What a shame that they do not release it on all platforms at the same time. Oh well!

Is there a gestures plugin for opera? Might try it if there is...

Mouse gestures are supported natively (tutorial) and have been since at least 9.x
