Hi all,

Up for sale is 1 metre long Johnson Mfg IA-423 solder.

This is what I got from Take Five Audio's website review of the solder:

"Johnson's IA-423 is a "ternary eutectic" alloy, i.e., a composition comprising its three component elements (tin, silver and copper). Practically speaking, eutectic alloys are shinier, stronger and have a tighter, more refined grain structure than near-eutectic or non-eutectic compositions. As a result, IA-423 is becoming a highly desireable replacement for the lead-containing solders used in many high-tech soldering applications. Audiophiles also claim that IA-423 is the best sounding solder they've ever heard, perhaps because of its high conductivity, owing to its high silver and copper content.

Solder wire is .032" in diameter with a Rosin flux core. This solder is 4.7% Silver and 1.7% Copper and is the best sounding solder we have used
. "

I would say this is not your usual off-the-shelf kind of solder and its quite a "high-end" one. I dont really have a need for it as I'll stick to normal solder for future DIY endeavors. My loss is your gain.

Looking for trades too. PM me if you have anything you would like to exchange with

Im looking at around SGD60 shipped via Registered Air Mail (worldwide). You can pay me via Paypal under "Gift" or else a 3.4% surcharge will be imposed

Cheers
