PK1 or PK2 soundstage

I currently have the PK2. I do not use an amp and run them straight out of a Sony Walkman S639. The thing I have always liked the most about the PK2 is the large sound you get out of a tiny earbud. The soundstage isn't particularly wide as it is big and full.

I have been looking at the PK1 for a long time now, but have not purchased them because I really don't want to amp my walkman. So, my question is this....
1. Is it worth upgrading to the PK1 out of this source without an amp?

2. Would the soundstage be as big or bigger with the PK1 unamped.

3. Is it worth the price of the upgrade over the PK2 is I did not amp them properly?

Thanks.

sorry guys, when I posted this, I was in the portable headphone, earbud forum. Not sure how it got over to this forum. I don't know how to move it back over there.

Ask the moderators to delete and repost, but to answer your question, yes the PK1 is worth upgrading even without an amp and is bigger than the PK2 unamped. Granted, you'll need to up the volume a little bit on the PK1 from the PK2, but if you do get the PK1, you'll know exactly what I mean. The PK1 unamped/amped do feel and sound like full size open cans.
