What are the most well recorded piano pieces of all time

I really don't know much about classical music, but I love the sound of pianos so I thought it'd be a good idea to start there. I got some great mp3s from friends, but unfortunately they are all terrible quality (128kbps or lower), so I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for well recorded piano music?

I know this genre is probably really broad; if it helps at all, I've enjoyed Debussy's work the most so far (out of what I've heard)

Most classical music is well recorded, as is a great deal of jazz.

I'd strongly recommend checking out the discs from Zenph studios. They've "recreated" some poorly recorded great performances with a special player piano and software. I know that a player piano sounds unappealing, but they got it right. I was amazed.

Best of all, they made fantastically good DSD recordings and offer the performances on SACD. The real killer, however, is that they're binaural. Check them out!

X 2! I own all of them and when I saw the OP's thread title I immediately thought about these Zenph re-performances.

Highly recommended.
