Hello headfi!
I recently purchased the UE TF10's as an upgrade from my Super.fi 5 pro's.
I bought the TF10's anticipating they'd be my "end all, no need to upgrade any longer" solution for portable audio...but was a bit dismayed when I was stuck yesterday listening to high notes turn into a nasty distorted mess.
Setup:
Powerbook G4 (Line Out) playing on VLC and MPlayer, 40% volume. No DAC or AMP in between.
The song I was playing is:
Chris Botti live in Boston ft. Lucia Micarell - Emmanuel
Here's the file for reference (only valid for 6 more days or until it hits 100 dwonloads!)

I used MAX to convert the flac to 320 cbr mp3 and the distortion went away. Are the TF10's just not capable of playing this particular FLAC file? Granted, I don't have too much lossless in my library yet, but this first album I got is preventing me from ripping any more of my CDs to lossless for use with the TF10's
Please advise!
