I have to let my G&W TW-J1 (110V) solid-state headphone amp go due to recent purchase of another amp. I've been using it for about a year since I bought it from ebay.
To achieve better sound quality for headphone output, I did disable its preamp function by removing 2 capacitors and 4 resistors in its preamp circuit. I still keep these parts and cable if you want to put them back. Please also be advised that when you turn off the amp, there is a couple-second delay before the sound and LED completely fade away. I don't know why this happens, but it doesn't affect functioning. Actually the amp does a decent job driving my Sennheiser HD580 headphones. Cosmetics wise, you may find some light scratches and a tiny dent on the front panel.
