Has anyone done any work on the Monster Beats? My friend's got one of the older models with the red cable, the jack needs to be re-soldered because it broke. I ordered a Neutrik 3.5mm jack to solder on, I was just wondering if anyone's done any work on them, just in case the cable is weird.

Just change the cable, the cable is an aux/aux cable, it wont cost you that much to buy an other one off Monster or from your local electronic shop. Just make sure it fits in the headphone input and you're done.
Edit: You're talking about the Studios or Solos ?
If you'Re talking about the in ear models than forget what I said.
