Who are your favorite companies (to deal with)? - Page 9

So far I had very good service from Jaben, iBasso and from Jan Meier.

Of the three above I had an RMA experience only with Jaben. Uncle Wilson sent me a replacement earphone even though I had lost my bill and did not even show him any proof my earphone was damaged. He just took me on my word that it was damaged !!!!

Amazon - Large variety, decent prices..they have vinyl, SACDs, etc.. They also have me enrolled in their Vine program so I get free stuff! I have only had to return one item in the last several years, but they replaced it without a hassle.

In addition to Rogue Audio, whom I mentioned earlier - Audioquest has been an excellent company to deal with. They've now twice re-terminated a set of their cables I had bought on the second-hand market, for a VERY reasonable fee. Quality of work looks great (form what I can see), the turnaround time was very prompt, and they were extremely professional and pleasant to communicate with.

Quality of communication, a convincing passion for audio, and quality support for ALL their products - whether out-of-warranty or secondhand - is what sets these companies' service at the top for me, so far.

If dealers are included, Headphonic.

These guys have the best customer service I have ever seen in any company and feature by far the most helpful staff member I've ever had the pleasure of communicating with. They also feature a forum for additional customer service and customer interaction which is probably the most helpful forum ive been to regarding music gear.

The customer service is literally rediculous. I've been in store listening to headphones for hours and bought nothing and they havent said anything

Soundearphones.com. Great all around customer service. Great prices, fast and free shipping. Bought alot from them, and returned two Iem's over the years. Both times they were very cool about it..

Ultimate ears replaced my 5pro a few years ago and sent me an extra cable and t-shirt to boot. Quickly and painlessly I might add.

Jan Meier is top notch.. as well as RSA in my book.

Also Practical Devices have always done right by me. Bought an xm4 amp last year that had a few problems. They quickly took care of it with prepaid labels and returned my emails and amp promptly.

Most audio manufacturers are very charming, as they are trying to separate you from your cash...that said, the standouts in my book are:

1. Audio Arts (Rob Fritz is a really helpful guy, provides great advice even if not about ICs and power cords)
2. Headroom (excellent, informative, and patient customer service)
3. McIntosh (very responsive even if you tell them you are buying used)
4. Music Reference (Roger Modjeski has an encylopedic knowledge of tube amps, and will take the time to talk to prospective customers at great length)
5. Bolder Cable (Wayne delivers what he promises and seems very honest)
6. Oppo (what other company reps will tell you on the phone not to buy their most expensive DVD player?)
7. Manley (great customer service on all their components, whether bought new or used)

Don't you want to know the names of vendors who are more difficult to deal with?...Grouchy, aggressive, non-responsive (e.g. VTL).
