I did have a chat with some members about the DSP1, what they said was it is equivalent to a Pentium 2 processor at 250 MHz, and all it does is audio conversion, that means something mate

I'll pop an i7 975 in there then (kidding LOL). Hmmm...tough decision, but I have several months to think about it Understanding all their ACSS, DSP stuff etc is rather confusing

Im pretty sure that regal compared those two dacs together, the dac19 and the dac3, you should check out his write up, i think he did most of it in the dac3 thread.

Absolutely can't wait for this thread. I'm going to go do some work work and save it as a treat for later. I'll allow myself to follow the link if I get 1000 words written before tonight.

[just read that back to myself and realised how much of a head-fi junkie I've become in the last few weeks ]

I am the Audio-gd importer into NZ (but primarily an Audio-gd fan).

After selling my demo Audio-gd Phoenix I decided to try some cheaper Audio-gd gear so I have a Fun version A WM8741, Sparrow Version A WM8741 and C2 on their way.  The C2 will be run via ACSS connection from my Ref 3/ Ref 1.

I will try all the headphone amps with my existing HD800s but will probably get some Shure SRH840s.

My dac in the main demo system is getting replaced by a Ref7 usb he.

Has anyone else tried the Reference 1 on the new C2?

Regards

Macrog

Do you distribute or deal?

Wondering if you lend units to people for home demo?

Personal message me.
