First ever post. I have a sonos system hooked up to my home stereo via the Zone player Wireless Bridge. Has anyone here started with the wireless set up and then changed to a ethernet connection? Was there an improvement in sound quality? I have tried a few things such as using the Cambridge Dac Magic and using exact copy to rip CDs to the Flac format. Can't quite get the sound to where I think it should be and I would welcome any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Exchanged the cheap interconnects for audioquest, this seemed to clean up the sound a bit. Still trying to decide whether to go with a wired connection. can anyone who has a wired sonos comment? thanks
digital point of view, I wouldn't expect any difference between wired and wireless ethernet.

Hey,
I've been using a ZoneBridge, S5, and 120 for a few weeks now in my apartment. Easy setup and easy to use. I have iTunes libraries on my Mac and also on my PC. It's very easy to switch and play tracks (etc) from either. Wireless is fantastic, as is sound. Since I live in an apartment, I can't turn the volume up as much as I'd like, but even at moderate volumes, the system sounds great (btw, I have the 120 connected to an old pair of Klipsch Heresy's). I'm also really enjoying all the various radio stations from around the world that I can access.
About the only complaint I have is that it doesn't play drm protected files in my iTunes library, or track that have too high a bit rate. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Sonos to anyone looking for a great sounding wireless system.

Resurrecting this old thread after seeing the RRP for the Play 3 - Sonos has always had a good rep here in Oz, but their gear was out of my price range.

For me, the appeal lies in the fact that I can add a second Play 3 (or any other Sonos component) and it will play nicely with the first. For many, this would be a poor replacement for a decent pair of speakers, but for those of us who want something compact with acceptable sound quality, it has a lot of appeal.
