Reviews from people who have tried these on other forums.

"These E180CC's sing big time. I've tried the Mullard CV4024, Siemens ECC81 and a pair of Amperex 12AT7 Bugle Boys with the Dared so far. All of these tubes have been very good, but these have been the best by far! I think what's sets them apart most is the sound stage they produce. It's as deep and high as it is wide. Upper extension is right on par with the Amperex & Siemens tubes, mids I described as warm, melted butter and bass is clean and tight. I'm very happy with my purchase of these." - Keiko

"Jon, I just got home and popped the Amperex tubes into my amp. Right out of the box I'm pretty impressed. Maybe a bit less gain than my other primo 12AT7 variations (Genelex A2900's & Brimar "yellow T's"), but not a problem since they seem to be dead quiet and I've got plenty of volume range left (its about 11 o'clock on my volume control now, and still louder than my normal listening level).

I'm really impressed with the detail & soundstage right out of the box. The Gen A2900's (and Yellow T's for that matter) are soundstage champs, and really warm with full bass; these Amperex tubes seem to have a bit tighter bass, maybe a bit more detail and are soundstaging like crazy themselves!

I think I like these better than my primo 12AX7's (the Amperex longplate, foil strip D getters)!" - Randy
