Pillow Speaker anyone?

The Sharper Image sells a pillow with built-in speakers:

The Sharper Image® SleepTunes™ Music Pillow | HO 100562 | Sharper Image Online

This is kinda cool, but I guess it's for the person who can't be bothered to put a radio or ipod dock next to their bed. Seems like it's more work to buy this pillow then to put the radio you already own in your bedroom. But what do I know, I sleep with HE-5 on my head...

What's the point? Put a speaker in the room.

And people wonder why the company had to file for Chapter 11....

Wouldn't work for me. As much as I love music, I have to sleep to white noise to pass out.

I've been planning to make my own speaker pillow with a flap that folds over for the lonely ear. I always watch something before falling asleep and try balance my rx700s on my ear, it's not all that comfortable.

Sharper image really has the most absurd products I've ever seen. I saw an SI ipod dock at best buy which was differentiated by being able to rotate the ipod 90 degrees on a circular track for "movie watching. Because all I have ever wanted is to put a large ipod dock in the middle of my desk and watch a movie on a 3 inch screen rather than my computer. Found a link. It is below.

Wow. Just wow.

I like the idea of speaker pillow. I enjoy falling asleep to soft classical music.

I'd rather (and do) wear my RE0 to bed and have better sound quality. They're small and comfortable for me.

I used to wear a set of el cheapo head phones to sleep.

Then one night I woke up with the draped across my neck, but for some reason I thought it was a snake and ripped the cord in half...
