you can read up on its specs here: Echo Digital Audio Corporation
Maybe do your own research to be certain, but I believe it is its own DAC and AMP so... no more ****ty laptop audio!
It drives my ATH-ANC7 headphones well (230/270/300 ohms depending on where you read it). I've had this for years but it has been sitting in the corner of my random electronics drawer for a while ever since it started having problems.
The sound cuts in and out a little bit of the card is touched, and sometimes needs to be held in the right position to play clearly. I assume that the issue is in the wiring near the volume control knob, not in the internals of the sound card.
I'm just looking for some offers right now, i really like this card, but i need to realize I'm never going to fix it myself.
I'm selling it "as is" because its not in 100% working order, but that doesnt mean I wont answer any questions about it before you buy. I really want to make this as risk free as possible for ask you, so ask me anything and ill try to answer it as best as i can. really. And I'll post the answers in this thread so everyone can see how I responded... i really don't wanna screw anyone over, i just wanna get this to someone who'll fix it and enjoy it at a discount, and help me fund a new dac/amp.
