Great thread and I was actually thinking that someone should start a listening education and music appreciation thread.

Years ago the original Hi Fidelity magazine did a few articles on "listening." It was fascinating learning the placement of the musical instruments in the orchestra, the concept of imaging, sound-staging, placement, instrumental timbre, etc.

Music lessons are definitely a great way to learn to listen, and participate in listening.

I ought to have that Moulton Laboratories : Golden Ears cd set in a few days. I'll let you know how it goes, and probably start a new thread in the process
