Ghost Sightings - Page 3

I'm waiting for someone to post one of those "orb" photos of dust spots reflecting the flash. MUST BE A GHOST!

A real ghost? That's an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

yes, at the firehouse

It actually happens quite often that it;s become a non-issue to the long time members!

In the truck bay, a figure just kinda walks around the bay, and it gets REALLY cold, even in the summer. Usually happens during standby's at like 3 or 4 am.

Other times......my basement once had EVERYTHING turn on, even things not plugged in, that was freaking creepy.

GF (at that time) has gotten gibberish IM's while i'm on a fire call. BTW my computer was OFF

"The Bowler Hat Man" as i call him, has popped up in my house. It's, well, a dude in a bowler hat. Looked into it, looks like the original owner of my house, apparently died here in the 1920's (perosnally i think he's responsible for the other things that have happened here)

freaky huh?

Interesting thread. I have no experience seeing something like these...But, as commented by others in earlier posts, if you believe it, you see it.

Also....just because you haven't seen something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Ya feelin me?
OH NO!!! As a matter of fact, I can feeel youuu...How eerie

I agree for something you have to see it yourself to believe it. But I doubt I wanna meet a real one...

well if you're in the USA you've prolly seen plenty of braindead zombies. You can recognize them by their bumper stickers...LOL very scary! But Rule #1: Cardio !!

I actually caught a ghost last night. It's a Gastly, and it's currently at Level 16.

IMO, can't see what doesn't exist. I once thought I saw one in a window one night (notice how ghosts seem to hate daylight?), but I didn't believe in them even then. Though I had that "heart skips a beat" feeling. When I looked around it turned out to be the reflection of someone on the other side of the road. It really did look like a ghost but once I took a moment the logical explanation was there.

Hey, we live in a world of illusion, nothing's real.

I lived in a house which was haunted for a while. A guy had there died whilst it was being renovated for us. Both of us felt his presence until one day he walked past my wife and left out the kitchen door. After that nothing. We did not see him, but we could hear him walking about. There was no mistaking the noise, it was clearly the sound of someone walking, usually down the hall. It was freaky but not disturbing, as there was no malice to it.

I live in a house where a guy killed himself.

I bought the place knowing that.

When i found out, I hadn't even seen the inside of the house. I thought it would creep me out - I'm not superstitious, but, well, you know . . ..

And then i saw the interior decorating.

Here's the upstairs bathroom:

That's fairly representative of what i found throughout the house.

Well, except for the bedroom that was painted bright blue. And i mean the whole bedroom. Tan carpet, bright blue everything else. walls, ceiling, cabinet hardware, lightswitch, everything.

After seeing these things, I knew that nothing could haunt me more than the knowledge of what the house looked like before i bought it.

I paid less for the house than the land under it is worth, and the house isn't really a tear-down. The roof is new, for example. It just needs a lot of interior work.

In the 4 years I've been there, i have not encountered a ghost or other evidence of haunting. I presume that this is because the ghost of the guy who blew his head off in the basement (precipitating the sale of the house) knows that I'll kick the crap out of him for all the terrible repair work he did over the years if i ever get a hint of his presence.

Ive never seen one, but my brother claims to have. And he's this very straight shooting, non-superstitious type. Not inclined to drink, drugs or wild thoughts. He was in a theater company doing a production of the Diary of Anne Frank. Supposedly ghosts often accompany the production of this play. He says he was alone in the theater, sweeping, when he saw this thin old gentleman walking up the middle of the aisle. He knows he was alone in the theater as it was his job to clean up. This old man walked to the top of the aisle and vanished through the door. My brother looked very scared when he told me this story.

I myself have not seen a ghost, but I would like to - as I want a little extra time to start living right!

Yes.

No.

However, at one stay in the Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee, Arizona, the clerk put me in one of the "haunted" rooms. I had made small talk with her for awhile and she had a sneaky smile when she handed me the room key. I understood when I got to the room and saw the sign on the door. According to legend, one of the town's "soiled doves" killed herself in that room when her love for a client was unrequited.

Despite numerous drinks in the local establishments, I failed to see any ghosts that night. Unfortunately.

If anyone is interested I highly recommend a stay at the Copper Queen. Incredible Old West hotel and Bisbee is not like any town I've visited. I've strongly considered retiring there I love it so much.

I've also stayed at the Jerome Grand in Jerome, Arizona. It used to be a hospital and is supposedly haunted, but I didn't see anything. It is an extremely cool hotel, though, and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Another purportedly haunted place I've spent time at is the law library in Bend, Oregon. It used to be the county prison. They didn't remove the bars or cells - you'll actually open the iron bar doors and go into a cell to get books. Creepy as hell, especially during late-night research, but didn't see anything.

Another reportedly hauted place I've spent a bit of time in is Thompson's in Salem, Oregon. It's a bar/restaurant, and one of the rooms supposedly has a spirit. I've spent a bit of time drinking in that room, but didn't see anything.

If anyone is interested, check out the Copper Queen in Bisbee. They offer ghost hunting tours there and also in Tombstone, Arizona, which is nearby. Like I said, Bisbee is incredibly cool. If anyone wants to ghost hunt, hang around an oddball little town and do some drinkin', Bisbee is incredible. It's one of my "getaways" when I want to chill out and have a little fun.
