Mac audio client's

Thread Starter
Hey everyone I have tried the following client for audio playback on my mac:

Itunes
Songbird
Play

While all are nice in different ways I am not really happy with any of them due to different bugs/issues.

Can anyone suggest me to some other programs?

Vox is also a possibility. What are your issues with iTunes?

Other than being unable to play FLAC, I think iTunes is great. I use LAME to export my music from CDs. If you own a Mac, you should be happy to use iTunes. It syncs your contacts, pictures etc to your ipod and iphone.

What features are you looking for?

Cog, Audion and VLC might be worth a try as well.

I was using Cog, a very good player. Sadly, it looks like development has stagnated. Same thing for Audion. I haven't used VLC, but I was mainly interested in a good audio player.

So, at least for now, I'm using VOX. The developer seems reasonably active and recently posted his release client for 2.7. It has a few new features, but maintains a small compact footprint.

EDIT: Part of my rationale for VOX is FLAC support. Most of the music I download is lossless, and I use XLD to rip my CDs to FLAC. (I haven't tried any of the add-on's for iTunes that support FLAC.)
