SEE PROS & CONS. NOTE: The clamping factor will obviously differ from person to person, but I'm surprised to find little mention of it, as it is the sole reason I'd never think twice about...

When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

Logitech Squeezebox Duet Network Audio Player (Dented Box) $187 Shipped (orig. $400) - SlickDeals.net Forums
this will be my 2nd duet. already have a sb1 and sb3
sb duet at less than $200 is a HOT deal!
but I must also say, the handheld controller is (today) buggy as hell! ;( it will not turn off, sometimes, it will leave its backlight on and not timeout, it will hang and need its batteries removed to reboot, it will come out of power savings and crash and so on. really shoddy firmware ;( the hardware, otoh, is good. its just a matter of time before they debug it fully. but beware that this is not a very stable controller (lots of known problems).
and yet with all that, I still did put an order in. I do think they'll EVENTUALLY get the software right. and having a hand controller IS really useful!

Killer Deal.
AlexinExile, thank you for the heads up. I just ordered one.
I've already got two "classic" squeezeboxes but I just could not pass up the chance to have the display in my hand instead of across the room. The other big advantage of upgrading is the ability to control all the squeezeboxes on my home network from wherever I happen to be.
