I am going to change the right angle plug on my HD25-1 from rt angle to straight. It is listed as a steel cable. Will I be able to solder this with the regular solder that you would get at RS or would I need something different. Also what is the smallest and best 3.5 plug for this. Thanks for any help. Don't know much about soldering but I figure if I screw up I will just be out a cable.

Regular 60/40 solder will do fine. The Neutrik NYS231 is a much-used model.
Thanks
