Denon 5900 DVD/SACD/DVDA/CD player

Local pick up only.. I would rate the condition a 8 on audiogons scale, but never looked over every ounce of the player. There are a few problems. The DVD laser might be going dead.. Only plays around 75% of my collection, & won't play HDCD's.. Haven't tried SACD or DVD-A, so I can't tell you how it sounds, but many reviewers give it high marks for SACD playback.. It is also a very good CD player, comparable to stand alone players in the 500 range, but with a much better build quality.. You can google the 5900 for reviews & specs.. Makes for a good transport as well.. I'm asking 180.00.. Comes with original box, remote, & PC.. I think I have the manual as well.. It weighs 40lbs & is build like a tank. Retail was 2,000 in 03. Plays CDs & CDR's fine.. Also plays mp3s.. The problems mentioned may be caused by a spec of dust or something simple. I'm not a techie..I never opened up the 5900. But I'm sure some techie can find great value in the 5900, as it seems to be a modifers dream.. I am the 2nd owner.. No low ball offers please. I have perfect feedback here, on Audiogon & ebay..
