This is a great sounding headphone amplifier and it is also an integrated amp to drive speakers. If you search for reviews, you will find that this amp is highly regarded and also quite rare.
I've owned several different high quality amplifiers like the M^3, Singlepower PPX3, PPX3 SLAM, Ray Samuels HR-2, and Eddie Current HD300. This and the SLAM (which was about $900 new) were the top performers.
It uses two 6DN7 tubes which sound great and can be found NOS for really cheap.
This amp has the Camille Cascode Constant Current Source (C4S) boards upgrade ($35 for the boards) and the stock volume pot has been replaced with a really nice TKD 2CP-2511 volume potentiometer ($100).
It costs $469 to buy the stock kit from Bottlehead, which is just for the stock parts (does not include the C4S boards and TKD pot). Bottlehead also charges $295 for labor to assemble the amp.
This one just sold for $750.
My price is only SOLD in the continental US. So that is less than the cost of stock parts with free shipping.
