Music to listen to after back from work

Hi,

you may have noticed (in movies) that people get back to their home from work and press a button and home fills with relazing soft & soothing music. My question is what kind of genre is that music & any famous artists? Or any compilation album for such kinda music (like Cafe Del Mar exists for ambient genre).

This record is one I'd suggest and it's also the one I gave my 'Album of the Year' to last year.

Ambient Neo-Classical Soundscapes.

 

Flat out amazing. Also, if you're in more of an angry mood you could put on some Ambient Black Metal (ie. Lustre's Night Spirit)

Are you talking about ambient music? I always recommend two albums from Stars of the Lid as being a great entry point into the genre: 'The Tired Sounds Of' and 'Their Refinement of the Decline.'

Thank you very much for your recommendation. That's the first time I've ever heard of Stars of the Lid. I tried 'And Their Refinement Of The Decline' and liked it very much. Thanks for pointing it out! k701smile.gif
