I have the VBs, just ordered the Coppers, I'll update with my impressions when they arrive.

They arrived today.  First impression is why didn't I buy these already? Price, of course, Amazon finally hit my comfort level.

These are clearly better than the VBs (two dots, no filter because they fell out while cleaning).  They sound similar, but MTPC doesn't have the flaws and I'd say they have more/better bass than my VB config.

Will give it some time, but there are enough threads about the MTPC sound, I'm just here to say at twice the price I'm a happy camper.

*edit

maybe not more bass, but close enough.  Sometimes it feels like more, sometimes it doesn't, depends on the song I guess.

Vocals are more forward also, but still well within the mix.  I feel when I'm done and over the shiny new toy period I will recommend that if you're satisfied with the VBs, don't make the jump.  If you liked certain things about the VBs, but the sibilance, treble,  and stereo separation bothered you that much, go for it.

many say that the coppers do not go as deep as the vb, is this true in your case?
