Quick question - does anyone have a source for plastic standoffs (like these) for circuit boards in larger quantities and hopefully a better price?

Looking at the website it seems they have what I need, but their website is saying page not found and kicking me back to the main menu right now so I'll check tomorrow. Hopefully shipping isn't too bad. Thanks!

That's a pretty good price, actually. Compare Keystone part # 377 at Mouser.

Yeah, I finally got through to McMaster and it would be $0.80+ a piece. Guess I'll get them from Sparkfun next time I have an order. Who knew pieces of plastic were so expensive.

The kind you're looking at have to be machined. You get "cheap plastic" when you can use molding instead. It'll probably be cheaper if you can give up on the threading, for instance.

True, since it's plastic I can always do the threads myself (or just force the screws in).

Good news is that Mouser has the screws for $0.05 a pop and I'm ordering from them anyways so I'll grab the standoffs from there when I finish planning this build out.

Or, run flat-head machine screws in from the bottom side of the case (countersunk holes) and run to a bolt on top of the board. Then you can use unthreaded standoffs.

I've bought a bunch from Small Parts - they also sell through Amazon.

Funny - I use the same vendor for a number of small hardware items. He does small nylon standoffs too ..dB

I've used these:
Digi-Key - 877K-ND (Manufacturer - 877)
They aren't threaded though, but they come in tons of shapes and sizes.
I find the 1/8" ones are great for raising a pcb off the bottom of an enclosure.
Digi-Key - 492-1072-ND (Manufacturer - 9908-125)
Not to mention they are very inexpensive!

Ace Hardware has a good selection of fasteners and such.
