ok so i think i finally have enough money to get an amp of my dreams.. literally lol

i own grado 225I's listening to mainly deathcore/hardcore and classic rock and other forms of rock.paired with ipod touch 3rd G and it must be fully portable so no recommendations of home amps, i have no use for one. im always on the go.

which of these amp do you think i should go with.

pico
P-51
Alo Rx

also, if i decide to cheap out in the last moment, would a RSA tomahawk be a good fit also???

I'am getting nice results with my Grado and D4,I feel the ones you've listed are all nice choices, its a matter of preference with size, price from what I can see.

all those amps are about the same price. and i dont really care bout size cause i use a touch which is pretty big and the pico and mustang are about the same size. i think the rx is smaller but i highly doubt ill buy that one.

and the d4's battery life turns me off, and i dont need the dac as well.

The best amp is undoubtably no amp. The price/performance ratio can't be beat

remember, Grado's are easily driven phones, so an amp will not make a huge difference. I would rather invest in a decent dac/amp. Imo, upgrading source will often improve overall SQ more than ugradring amp and phones.

Yea, get a Cowon or Sansa player and make sure to use lossless!

Or a good external DAC or DAC/amp.

13 march is the Head-Fi meet in Bayside Queens,NY.

Why dont you show up and listen to the stuff they got there and bring your setup before purchasing something from others opinions and guesses and preferances?

Meets are fun!
