Thank you, my brother keeps trying to convince me that I should just get an MBA and I have the same feelings that you guys do.

I had a similar option: MBA or Masters In Engineering Management: MSEM. I went with the MSEM because it was more specialized to management of engineers as an engineer(my undergrad was EE and my PhD is to be in Permafrost Engineering), but it won't prevent me from taking on the job market that an MBA would look at when they graduate.

People have told me that getting an MBA would be a good idea as well. I don't buy it. I can't imagine why it would be useful. It seems like pretty much anyone can get one with a minimum amount of work and there is no clear skill set that an employer can derive from seeing "MBA" on a resume.

Honestly the only reason I kept going was two fold.
1) People kept offering me money to go to school and do stuff I already knew how to do
2) These same people never told me to stop.

So pretty much if someone who I had academic respect for had told me exactly how useful my degree would be, I would have stopped a lot sooner, I'm just a bit of a cynic though.

I'm a Ph.D (Failed).
I failed to get to uni, so I failed to get a chance to do Ph.D.
But I never fail to enjoy life without one.

I think set theory is a set-up.
