Transcendent Balanced PSU (The Transcendent Sound Balanced Power Supply 1000VA
Teac PD-D850 (Teac PD-D850 - Google Search)
-> Blue Jeans LC-1 (Stereo Cables at Blue Jeans Cable)
Speaker cabling (not sure of brand, nothing fancy)
-> Sony STR-VX550 (Sony STR-VX550 - Google Search)
Kenwood JL-881 speakers (140W, 8ohm - Kenwood JL-881 - Google Search)
I will also include a 1/8"->1/4" adapter for the Receiver's Headphone plug,
and a Quail Group-Buy power cord (should be very similar to these) for the BPSU.
* Only issues with any of the above is that the CDP doesn't like to play CDR/CDRW (sometimes they work, sometimes not. Been a while since I tested this) and if a CD is moderately-to-heavily scratched, it will skip a lot.
* Phono and CD/AUX of the receiver work great, I will test the AM/FM by request (haven't used that section in a long time, heh)
* Receiver comes with 6 Cardas plug covers (plain version of these)
Perfect for a beggining or budget speaker setup
This setup sounds great to me, but it is tilted a bit into the treble spectrum, which bothers my Tinnitus
I think this is the speakers themselves, as the previous owner installed his own tweeters in them.
Thanks for looking!
