Yup, that's the Cowon i9, and the EQ and sound enhancements are top of the class. Really, no current dap (AFAIK) offers as much in the area of customization. It's a real winner IMO. I'm w/WalkGood on this, go for the i9.
If you're concerned about money, I'd recommend the current e series walkman (e340). From what I understand, it shares the same EQ/SQ as the S540 (not sure about the s740).
Also, if you can find 1, the Sony S639 is absolutely fantastic. It's my "Go-To" dap, as it's always w/me for a quick SQ fix. I like it more than (oh boy,..........) Cowon.

second this. I myself have a S736F and it sounds fantastic. i like tis better den the sansa clip+. The clear bass is significantly deeper and punchier as compared to the clip+ eq.The bad news is that i lost my sony walkman yestaday i am eyeing on the i9 now for a change
