How to soften Grado 225i pads

I'm love the headphones guys. My only issue is the comfort of the pads and that they hurt my ears after a while. What do you recommend I do to soften the pads or what would you recommend I purchase as pad replacements?

Try washing them with shampoo

You can either do what was suggested above or you can rub your ears with a coarse grit of sand paper three times a day for two weeks will toughen up your ears and make those pads feel terrific. That is after your ear lobes heal first. You need to get that Grado Ear.

In all seriousness, shampooing is a good suggestion.

Thanks...I'll have to give it a try!

Does it hurt?

Yeah...try gently washing them first.
Some people are getting the flat pads for these cans.

Give it a try and report back. Lmao

I'm just used to the bowls and find them so comfortable I hardly know I'm wearing them anymore.

I'll give the shampoo suggestion a try tonight.

Don't forget the conditioner! When I wash mine (about every months or so), I wash with a combination of shampoo + conditioner with a little bit of warm water. Rub it in for 5 minutes or so and rinse it out, press it dry. After a while your face oil will soften the bowls some as well.

+1 for shampooing. It makes them so silky-smooth...I hadn't used conditioner, but that's also a good idea.
