Have people forgotten what the '-fi' in Hi-fi means?

It means fidelity. I've never really read this forum but people are putting -fi on everything like it's butter. It makes very little sense in most cases. Dog-fidelity? Cat--fidelity? Backpack-fidelity?

Come on people, loosen up on the hi-fi obsession a little bit!

When people say Dog-fi on a Headphone site called Head-Fi, it said in jest, not some kind of elitist push.

I vote for you not having a sense of humor! You've got to admit that -fi'ing everything makes no sense though

I vote for "Head-Fi", let's find the most intelligent people on Earth, or the best looking ones? So do you like euphonic heads or neutral ones?

Just stop the silliness before you become pythonesque clowns and please ignore the Fi stuff if it's not to your liking. Besides, you don't have to check out every thread or post.

Why bother posting your dislike for this idea. It's just for fun. Stick to the serious side of head-fi and lead a happier life if that's what you want.
