For those curious about my previous comment, it was for the ruthenium version that I could try at the shop for a short listening session before I could see a palladium version.
The palladium one actually feels more like metal and has the same cold metallic feel as the headband aluminium parts.
I wouldn't know there is any plastic under that without ultraandy comment

Saw these headphones at MusikMesse last week. They look and sound incredible. I'm new to the hi-end headphone world, but have been testing our new Zodiac converter for months on Barefoot monitors. This was the first time I heard it with such amazing sounding headphones and now I have to go back and listen to all my music again. It's a rough job, but oh well...

Did you hear the Palladium version? I know, I know, they are suppose to sound the same, but I still want to know if your expericence is based on the palladium model or not?

I did hear the Palladium and I have the Ruthenium. It was hard to tell for sure on the floor, but they sounded very close, but not exactly the same. It was most likely due to the break in period.
