AGAINST JH/UE DRIVER WARS: A First view of EarSonics EM3-Pro Customs - Page 12

Can anyone compare the JH5PRO to the Earsonics EM2-iFI ?

I was about to order the JH5 but then I found out about Earsonics in Montpellier and being in europe this might be much easier in case i need a refit etc

Couldn't find anything on the boards :(

^^ I owned Jh11 and em3pro, for me em3pro at least 2 times better than jh11, although em3 only has 3 drivers the bass is deeper on em3, the detail and the imaging what makes em3 sits on higher level, I think that condition is applied for em2 and jh5 situation

That said, what was it about the JH11s that you didn't like or found lacking in it? or is it just a matter of the EM3 PRO being better?

I'm about to get the JH11 because it's still cheaper than the EM3PRO

 

Anyway what you said is true, IMHO, anything 3 drivers or above is a matter of personal preference, more drivers above 3 doesnt make it superior instantly.

JH11 does not has 3D presentation, the imaging is relatives flat compares with em3, the mid is fuller on em3 although the upper mid was slightly dip,bass is pounding harder on jh11 but doesn't goes deeper and less vibrant. I also tried my friend jh16 and still didn't find a better spaciousness and musical feel that em3 preserve. Also don't forget Earsonics offers up grade policy for all their custom line beside em6

I can agree that the EM3 Pro has a much more 3D presentation than my JH16, but it also depends on what you are looking for.  You can check out my thoughts on the EM3 Pro, EM4, and JH16 (among others) here.
