Dude, its simple.  They aren't as comfortable or isolate (maybe because they are hollow) as well as your other customs.  something is wrong w/ the mold or custom, period.  The fact that you are an experienced custom user and have a reference should be a no brainer.  The fact of the matter is both your customs should have the same feel/fit when inserted.  Otherwise what is the point of the custom mold?

But it looks like I can't do a refit for free according to him, since Mr. Lopez said there's "nothing wrong". Should I e-mail him again?

It can't feel the same because the Earsonics custom do not reach into the 2nd bend. It feels far more comfortable, but slipping out (losing seal) too often. I'm guessing based on the 'feel' of it all that the pinna is not holding the customs in place.

 

For most customs two areas would hold the customs in place:

 

1)The pinna's shape

2)The twist before the 2nd bend

when i get mine i'll do you some pictures if you want,... provided they fit right of course.

could it be an impression issue? perhaps you need a better impression taker?

i dont know, these are going to be my first customs so,...

its gonna be a while before mine come through i think, a week more maybe?

i would email franck again and tell him you're not fully satisfied and that something is not right.

I have a question about the EM3 Pro cables...mine are the silver cables that looked awesome out of the box.  Now they are turning green.  Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, did you do anything to fix it?  Franck told me that happens and I need to use a black cable.  What would people recommend for replacement cables?

Have you tried the ES cable? The pics that I've seen of this custom looks like they have the same connector and the cable looks very much like the ES cable I have. Also turning green is oxidation and it happens with silver cables over time. You can get a black cable to fix that if you want but it's purely cosmetic.
 

Thanks for the suggestions.  I know it is cosmetic, but I was kinda wondering if there was any way to clean them with a silver cleaning solution.  Here is a nice pic of some serious oxidation courtesy of music_4321.  I guess I will just use them until the color bothers me enough to get some TWag or something else.

but doesnt silver oxidize to blackish and copper oxidizes to green patina?

im pretty sure that silver oxide is just a slightly duller color of silver, while copper does indeed turn green

The cables are copper.  Even the silver 'coated' ones.  Makes you wonder if by silver they mean the element or the paint color.

yeah i always assumed it was "silver colour". especially now since it turns green, so cleaning with silver polish wouldnt really do much right?

another chemistry, or was it physics, flashback,... since patina is copper rust, removing rust weakens whatever the rust is on so perhaps living with the colour might be the safest bet?

It's not rust. It's a protective layer.

Rust, or iron oxide, is auto-degradative. Rust accelerates rusting.

If you could somehow make the whole copper wire turn green, that might look more attractive even...who knows?
