IEM that matches the SQ of the KSC75?

I have been having a heck of a time finding a pair of IEMs for under $100. They all seem way too bright to me. I use a Sansa Clip.

However, I did pick up a pair of Koss KSC-75s, and they are everything everyone here said they were - very balanced and live sounding from top to bottom- fantastic.

Is there an IEM with a similar sound signature - maybe even a bit less bright on the high end?

I have tried an S4, UL Fi220, Auvio

Thanks!

The closest I've tried would be the triple.fi's, although they would obviously be more controlled than the 75's. They do sound similar to my ears though.

The RE0, which is sold MSRP at 170 USD, is now sold for 79 USD. They were recommended to me with the same dilemma as yours.

Ouch - they (triple fi) are 200 beaners...

The REO keeps coming up... I hope not too bright?

How about the Monster Turbine?

I've heard some nasty stuff about them, so I went to try them out. Although they're not nearly as nasty as others say (it was actually not bad), I personally do not think they're worth the price they are sold off at.
That is just my two cents, however.

the turbines are a good choice too, probably closer to the ksc75 to my ears than the RE0. While the re0's are fantastic, the bass is a bit anemic to be compared to the ksc75's. The turbines have more bass than the 75's, but it's more similar in quantity than re0's.

I'm getting closer to the answer...

As a KSC75 lover myself I have to say that the Meelectronics M6 sounds quite similar with better extension on both ends. I realize that these are less than your projected budget, but that is really no reason to overlook these. I even prefer these over more expensive buds (including the IE8).
I may be called a liar but for some reason the UM3x had some similar qualities as well but it is a bit over your limit.
Hope this helps,
Nick

Ok I read the thread but, there was no conclusion. What did you find? Also, I don't want a "treble emphasized" sound...

IMO, there is no iem that sound very similar to the 75. The closest I've got was the re-252.

And a number of new IEMs have come out in the past three years.
